The four restaurants in the Village of Philmont are teaming up to host the Inaugural Village Restaurant Crawl, with proceeds to benefit the Philmont Library Cultural Center Fund.
Main Street Public House, Lagonia's, Local 111, the Vanderbilt Inn, Michael Johnston Bus Company, and the Philmont Public Library will sponsor the event on Saturday, November 4th.
Diners will begin the progressive dinner at the Main Street Public House for appetizers and drinks. Then half of the attendees will go to Local 111 and half will go to Lagonia's for soup & salad. After soup & salad, the diners will switch restaurants for their entrée. After dinner, everyone will be bussed to the Vanderbilt Inn for homemade desserts and coffee.
"We feel very fortunate to have 4 great restaurants in the village and a community that supports local events" said Crawl Coordinator Matthew Perry.
"We are hoping that this event will be a huge success and turn into a regular event to benefit other organizations in the village, like the Rescue Squad and the Fire Department. This will raise money for the library addition, which will serve so many needs in the community. We are excited that local businesses are teaming up to create this wonderful event" said Crawl Coordinator & Interim Library Director Karen Garafalo.
Tickets for the event are $50, which does not include alcoholic beverages. Space is limited and the event is expected to sell out fast. If you are interested, call Karen Garafalo at 672-5010 or 672-7519. Payment is required at the time of reservation.
