Dear Philmont Residents,
We want you to know that as your elected officials we are here for you and doing everything we can to help protect our community. In order to be successful, we all need to be personally responsible. This is why we are asking our residents to be patient, mindful, and selfless as we all continue to follow the guidelines from our leaders at the Federal level including the CDC, Governor Cuomo and the Columbia County Health Department.
Public safety and the health and well-being of our residents and Village employees is the top priority for myself and the Village Board. We have closed the Village Office as a precautionary measure, but continue to handle village business by email, mail and phone.
The Village DPW, Police continue to work and the Fire Department is still responding to calls, but employees and volunteers are disinfecting constantly and practicing social distancing. They are also taking further precautions to make sure everyone stays safe during this pandemic.
We continue to work with local, county, state and federal officials on a daily basis to make the best decisions for our residents. We ask residents to maintain social distancing guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control and World Health Organization.
Let's all work together to help stop the spread of this virus. We will get through this. We are available to address your concerns. Please feel free to contact us through the Village of Philmont Office at 518-672-7032.
