Please join the Philmont Cooperative Market & Cafe at 116 Main Street weekly on Tuesday evenings 4pm-6pm for FREE community dinners!
Free hot dinners cooked by our volunteer chefs, to bring together community members on a weekly basis. These events serve many purposes, including community building, economic development, and relationship building. All too often we find ourselves cooking and eating to satisfy a craving and forget what it means to nourish ourselves and our community. To nourish oneself through food means to celebrate the journey each item has taken from its origin to the table. The vegetable, the grain, the animal product—it all has a beginning. We strive to honor that journey and give thanks to those who make the meal possible.
What better way to celebrate the collective efforts of our community than to share a meal with our neighbors, family, and friends!
These dinners are prepared using all local ingredients from surrounding businesses and farms that are either donated or from our store.
Pay what you can, if you can. Or round up at the register on your next purchase to donate to our community dinners.
