PHILMONT COMMUNITY DAY 2023 | SATURDAY, JULY 1

ALL DAY

  • Main Street Interactive Sidewalk by the Girl Scouts & the Philmont Library
  • Music and entertainment all day at the Main Stage on the Village Green (9:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
  • Philmont Fire House | Hot Dogs, Hamburgers & Fried Dough at the Philmont Firehouse (a fundraiser, support our Philmont Fire Department!)
  • Local Restaurant Specials:
    • Philmont Fire Department (fundraiser) | Hotdogs & Hamburgers and Fried Dough.
    • McNan’s Variety Foods | Root Beer Floats $3; Turkey or Ham Subs w/Cheese & Lettuce, $3 per third
    • High Falls Pizzeria | 2 Cheese Pizza Slices and a Soda, $6
    • Philmont Co-op Food Truck | BBQ Beef and Pulled Pork, $9

7:00 AM

  • Sign up at the Philmont Rod & Gun Club for the fishing derby hosted by the Philmont Rod & Gun Club
  • Vendors, Artisans, and Crafts People — set up your tables along Maple Avenue (be sure to submit an application)

8:00 – 10:00 AM

  • Fishing Derby hosted by the Philmont Rod & Gun Club! (sign up at 7am at the Philmont Rod & Gun Club.)

9:00 AM

  • Community Day is in full swing on Maple Avenue!
  • Music and entertainment on the Main Stage begins at 9am
  • Bouncy House, Popcorn Machine, Games, and Face-Painting on Maple Avenue at the usual spot!

  • Yard Sale at 7 Maple Avenue

9:00 – 12:00 | Main Stage (Maple Avenue)

  • Master of Ceremonies Loki Anthony, along with Jordan Walker and Anthony Irwin, DJ and spin records on the Main Stage at the Philmont Green.

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Library

  • PHILMONT HISTORY—through postcards, maps, memorabilia, and stories—at the Philmont Library Cultural Center with Village Historian Shawn Jennings.

11:00 AM – 12:00 AM | Main Stage

  • OPEN MIC on the Main Stage. Come one, come all!

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Library

  • REPAIR CAFE at the Philmont Library pavilion! Repair Coaches will be on hand for fixing lamps and bicycles and hand sewing/mending. Plus an investigation station with old appliances for kids to take apart and explore the inner workings.

12:00 – 1:45 PM | Main Stage

  • SALT TOOTH SERENADERS on the Main Stage at the Philmont Green. Come listen to old-time blues and sweet country live music by a popular local band.

2:00 – 2:40 PM | Main Stage

  • RABID FAMILY on the Main Stage at the Philmont Green.

2:40 – 3:10 PM | Main Stage

  • STORYCRAFTERS. Award-winning storytellers Barry Marshall and Jeri Burns perform and tell tales for all ages on the Main Stage at the Philmont Green. Don’t miss it!

3:30 PM | Pine Haven

  • PARADE LINE-UP, Mardi-Gras Theme. All are welcome to march in the parade! Showcase your business or organization and join in on the fun. Line up at Pine Haven at 3:30.

4:00 PM | Main Street

  • PARADE starts at Pine Haven, travels down Main Street to Rock Street.

6:00 PM – 10:00 PM | Canal Street

  • BLOCK PARTY on Canal Street | Music, Food (courtesy of the Philmont Fire Company) & Dancing!
