If you’re a Philmont resident, you can trade in up to 4 of your incandescent lightbulbs at the locations below for free LED lightbulbs.

  • LED bulbs will lower your energy bills. According to the U.S. Energy Department, “Lighting accounts for around 15% of an average home’s electricity use, and the average household saves about $225 in energy costs per year by using LED lighting. if you are still using incandescent light bulbs, switching to energy-efficient lighting is one of the fastest ways to cut your energy bills.
  • LED bulbs rarely need to be changed out. In general, terms, if you use your lights for 10 hours each day, LEDs should serve you well for just shy of 14 years!
