ATTENTION PROPERTY OWNERS
A decision was made by the Claverack Town Board to conduct a 2027 reassessment of all real property in the Town of Claverack in order to create fair and equitable assessment at 100% of market value. The reassessment will be conducted in accordance with Sections 301 and 305 of the NYS Real Property Tax Law.
Data Collectors from Columbia County Real Property will begin field work in a couple of weeks by visiting each property in Claverack/Philmont to update and photograph inventory. In some cases, this can be done fro the public right-of-way. In other cases, it will be necessary for them to knock on the door before taking new measurements or accessing the rear of a property. Please note that visits by appointment are not possible.
