Safe Boating Course

NOTE: THIS IS A 2-DAY COURSE. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED

  • Saturday, March 29th – 9am to 1pm
  • Sunday, March 30th – 9am to 1pm

For Certification, You Must Attend Both Days

There will be a free NY Safe Boating Class offered at the Philmont Community Center. The Community Center is located at 14 Lakeside Drive in the Village of Philmont. The course is co-sponsored by the Philmont Community Center & The Philmont Rod & Gun Club.

To earn a NY Safe Boating Certificate, attendance is required at each session, and will be taught by experienced instructors Julia Veronezi and Douglas Cropper.

While the course is free, NY State does charge a $10 fee to those over 18 years of age to obtain the permanent Boating Safety Certificate. The class is open to anyone over the age of 10. The class is limited to 15 students.
