The Agawamuck Creek Watershed Advisory Committee is seeking photographs to include in the Watershed Management Plan document.
We are looking for photos taken in all seasons anywhere within the 14,656 acres (22.9 sq. miles) Agawamuck Creek watershed, which includes the Towns of Claverack, Ghent, Austerlitz and Hillsdale.
We are looking for photographs of forests, meadows, streams, wetlands, wildflowers, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, insects, rocks, etc., as well as stream-related infrastructure, such as culverts and bridges, and people enjoying the outdoors.
If anyone can or has captured streams in flood stages, or in highly turbid conditions, or showing trash in a stream, or a pollution outfall, or, say, a flooded meadow, that would be good too.

The Village of Philmont, in partnership with Philmont Beautification, Inc., in collaboration with the Towns of Claverack, Ghent, Austerlitz, and Hillsdale, and with the participation of community stakeholders, are developing a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) component as a watershed management plan for Agawamuck Creek. This plan will develop management recommendations for improving water quality and restoring critical natural resources throughout the watershed, as well as identify measures to address invasive species.
